Lee Salberg Vice President of the International Press Club is considered one of the veterans of the television industry when he became Promotion, Marketing, Publicity and TV producer Director of the first affiliate CBS-TV station in Chicago with the call letters WBKB-TV. The station was owned by Paramount Pictures in Hollywood and Balaban & Katz in Chicago. After working for the CBS-TV station for several years the corporation wanted to buy ABC-TV. Red Quinlan who was program director and a pioneer in the TV history of Chicago and my associate developed the FCC exhibit that was presented to FCC in Washington, D.C. which was approved for the purchase of ABC-TV. Red Quinlan and I moved to the Civic Opera house
